Marumali Program®
Survivors, Stolen Generations or Community
A survivor-led program offering culturally safe healing for those affected by forced removal, loss of culture, and intergenerational trauma.
Understanding this Marumali Program®
Developed by Aunty Lorraine Peeters, this core program provides a safe, structured healing journey for Stolen Generations survivors and community members impacted by removal policies and cultural disconnection.
It is delivered with deep cultural integrity in both community and institutional settings, creating space for participants to reclaim identity, restore hope, and begin or continue a path of healing led by their own story.
Knowledge and skills gained:
Reconnection to culture and Country
Healing through survivor-led frameworks
Understanding personal and collective trauma
Building safe support systems
Participants gain confidence, clarity, and a renewed sense of cultural identity to support their ongoing healing
Learning Outcomes
Reclaiming Identity Through Healing
Participants explore the historical and personal impacts of removal, loss, and trauma. They are guided through culturally safe processes to reconnect with cultural knowledge, identity, and community at a pace they determine.
The program honours survivor voice and empowers each participant to shape their own healing pathway. Through shared experience and guided reflection, participants build resilience and reconnect to their cultural foundations.

Participant Outcomes
Confident, Community, Care
Participants leave with a deeper understanding of their personal and collective histories, and a stronger connection to culture and identity. They are supported to reclaim parts of themselves that may have been lost through trauma, disconnection, or institutional harm.
The workshop provides a structured, culturally safe pathway for participants to process grief, rebuild trust, and renew their sense of self. Many describe the program as transformative allowing them to speak their truth, connect with others who share similar experiences, and begin to shape their healing in ways that feel empowering.
The outcomes support long-term resilience, cultural pride, and the restoration of voice and agency.
