Program Insights

The Marumali Program® is an evidence- based, culturally grounded and trauma- informed program that strengthens the knowledge, skills and confidence of First Nations service providers, practitioners and frontline workers supporting Stolen Generations Survivors, descendants, families and communities. Grounded in the Marumali Journey of Healing Model — a Survivor-led and developed model created from lived experience — the program provides a deeper understanding of the history and ongoing impacts of colonisation, the Stolen Generations and intergenerational trauma.

The program empowers First Nations service providers to take an active leadership role in supporting healing for Stolen Generations Survivors, while recognising and respecting each person's right to lead their own healing journey. Through this learning, participants strengthen their ability to provide culturally safe, respectful and responsive support, recognising the importance of spirit, culture, identity, connection, family, community and Country in healing.
